Android

Android 7.0 or newer.

Open this page on your Android phone or tablet and tap Download APK.
When the download finishes, open the file. Android will ask you to allow installing apps from this source (your browser or file manager). Allow it for this install only.
If Google Play Protect says the app is not recognised, that is expected: it is installed from this website and not from the Play Store. Tap Install anyway.
Open Chomp Rex and play. It runs in landscape, full screen.

No APK? In Chrome, open the menu and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen). You get the same game as a web app.

iPhone and iPad

There is no App Store version yet, but the game installs from Safari and then behaves like an app:

Open this site in Safari (it does not work from other browsers' in-app views).
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Open Chomp Rex from your home screen. It opens full screen, works offline, and keeps your scores.

Tip: turn the phone sideways, and make sure "Portrait Orientation Lock" is off in Control Centre.

Computer

In Chrome or Edge, click the Install icon at the right end of the address bar (or the button above, if shown). Safari on Mac: File > Add to Dock.

Is it safe?

The app has no ads, no accounts and no analytics. The only data it sends is the nickname and score you choose to put on the leaderboards (see the privacy policy). Only install apps from sources you trust. To check that the Android APK you downloaded is intact, compare its SHA-256 checksum:

Updates

The installed web app and the browser version update by themselves: just open the game while you are online. The Android APK does not update itself: come back here for new versions, download the new APK and install it over the old one. Your scores are kept.
